Fishing for inspiration

We all are mixed media artists in this group. I think we can share some tips on techniques we use.

For those pages, I made computer collage first, printed with laser printer, transferred into my moleskine with Chartpak blender marker, painted with watercolors and a little bit of gold acrylic paint.

Very cool. I think I'll try that too. I'm looking for a good way to combine Adobe Illustrator and freehand ink drawing. Currently, I print on Moleskine's thinner paper and sprey mount it into the book. the paper is so thin and the spray mount is so even that it nearly becomes one with the page.

Looks like it takes the watercolor pretty well.

Very nice image. It will surely be an inspiration to the next artist.

Yes, I also like to combine computer images and drawings. Try Chartpak blender marker (https://store.opusframing.com/sagro/storefront/store.php?mode=browsecategory&category=1863). Solvent transfer looks like ink drawing.

I think is a great idea to share our findings in this great journey of mixed media, I´ll be posting something soon too. :D thanks!

Great transfer. Love it in the Moleskine and where does Marty get the "thinner paper" - out of a journal? Sounds like a good way to transfer to book.

To Monicat:
This blog cut the and of my link to
"Chartpak blender marker" and I don't know how to fix it.

"The Chartpak Blender is an solvent-based, colourless felt pen, useful for blending colours in solvent-based coloured inks. It is also very popular for creating black-and-white photocopy transfers: copy your image in black-and-white on regular office paper, place face down on the surface to receive the transferred image and carefully rub the back of the image with the Chartpak blender."
It cost $3 and I always have it in my pencil box. But you can use acetone or nail polish remover.

I just love kites! I have 5 sport stunt kites, I go to kite festivals, I make simple kites myself. I also collect books and images of kites. Probably some day I will write a book about kites :-)
