Just wanted to let you know, Katya, it got here safely!-Theresa

News from Maria Elena

Hi guys, I got a mail from Male and asked her whether I may publish it here:

"... I have not been able to open my blog or the flicker, I just moved to Cancun and lost my keyword to enter, but I sent the two moleskines early this morning to Petunia, Margaret GOnzales to Miami Srpings, the number of DHL is 6812288070, will you please send it to her.
Something else. I will need the phone numbers of the others as to send them their moleskines, it is one oth the thong that DHL asks me as to send it.
Will you send me a message with some info so that I can try to open the blog?? And if you have them also the emails of the others??

I was not able to set the moleskines on the web becasue almy things are packed. As soon as possible I wil do it. The theme of my Moleskine is LET THE WORLD SHINE BECAUSE OF LOVE.

I talked to the director of the local Museum whic is quite nice. And asked about the possiblities on a show of our mleskines and she liked the idea. Lets see. Would you like it to happen?"

I gave her all emails and Marty's too - perhaps he can help her with the password.
And the museum thing sounds interesting!

Have a nice day!

My book

Here we go. I love Ronny's idea to write on the backside - you will find here the translation of the poem I glued on the collage and a few words about the materials I used.

Scythian animals

My theme is “The Pocket Museum”. For my entry I choused Siberian Scythians. My pages are not so colorful. But I don’t want to overwork them – I like this yellowish paper. On the backside, I will write a short historical explanation.

Do we have to send our molys to the next artist next week? I am almost ready.

My entry

Sorry for posting these pictures late. I have problem writing on the blog last time and then I forget about it. Hahaha. I hope you guys like it.

Place for you guys to sign up. Or you know, write your name.

My theme is: text/ure. Thanks Susanne for your inspiration.
There's one thing about this moly. I want you guys to write what materials are used at the back of your entry. When you receive my moly, you turn it over and you can see it. Thanks.

When I'm working on this entry, I found that my theme can be quite difficult. You guys you can do whatever you think about this theme. I try to use a pen to write text all over the page but failed. So the first line is really screwed up.

I love pictures of the table. It's at Starbucks. And looks like I'm working hard.

I love the idea that we will include something in the pocket for the next person to use. I haven't figure out what yet. But then I decorated the pocket as well.

I can't wait for the first swap. Sorry I have to post it on May 26.

Red for Passion!

I had so much fun making the first pages of this moleskine, although it was a challenge to keep it in one color, I decided to give it a few brights here and there so it wouldn´t be so flat, but I think it wil be wonderful when we open it to reveal everybody´s work. I also think is best for everyone to choose your favorite color so, please, feel free to pick your´s but let´s stay with the rainbow order, so, count four pages for each color and paint, collage or what you love to do in the exact place it should be your color following the rainbow order, so when it´s done we can see the rainbow! ;D

My Moley-Colorful Women

After looking at my first pages, I decided I really needed COLOR instead of the original black, gray and red. My theme is "Colorful Women". I used images from British money, postage stamps, collage, ink, tape and some of my doodling. I will be getting it ready for its voyage to Susanne in Germany.

Fishing for inspiration

We all are mixed media artists in this group. I think we can share some tips on techniques we use.

For those pages, I made computer collage first, printed with laser printer, transferred into my moleskine with Chartpak blender marker, painted with watercolors and a little bit of gold acrylic paint.

Supply swap

Let's do it - let's send some goodies around the globe!
I've got pages of an old stamp catalogue. Who wants to have some?
And which stuff do you discover in other countries' collages and can't get them easily at your country? Perhaps we can help each other ...

Work in progress

Last week I was printing in our silk screen lab some T-shirts and suddenly decided to print the same design on the cover of my Japanese album with the metallic water-based ink.

Susanne's Intro Page

Here it is - the first draft of the sign in page. The faux postage stamp is hand carved (not very challenging ;-)) and, as you see, inclines on the page. I knew it!! :-\
